Ministry: Russia’s gold output falls 1.4% to 214 tns in Jan–Sep
MOSCOW, Nov 17 (PRIME) -- Russian gold output decreased 1.4% on the year to 217.16 tonnes in January–September, the Finance Ministry said in a statement Thursday citing data on supplies to gold refineries.
Mined gold output rose 1.48% to 176.46 tonnes in January–September, while by-product gold output decreased 11.02% to 11.30 tonnes, and gold scrap production fell 13.77% to 26.36.
Russia’s silver output fell 9.43% to 800.32 tonnes. Primary silver production went down 18.98% to 423.14 tonnes, while by-product silver output rose 0.04% to 206.73 tonnes, and production of silver scrap increased 10.15% to 154.74 tonnes.
